EADS - Astrium Project

Satellite Tracking Station Control Consoles for European Union Global Positioning Satellite System

Control Consoles Station for Satellite Tracking

ImageVision, Inc. played an important role as a global supplier in providing satellite tracking control consoles for satellite tracking stations around the world.

Astrium was an aerospace manufacturer subsidiary of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) that provided civil and military space systems and services from 2006 to 2013. In 2012, Astrium had a turnover of €5.8 billion and 18,000 employees in France, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain and the Netherlands. In late 2013 Astrium was merged with Cassidian, the defense division of EADS and Airbus Military to form Airbus Defence and Space. EADS itself was reorganized as the Airbus Group, with three divisions that include Airbus, Airbus Defence and Space, and Airbus Helicopters.

Our project work for EADS-Astrium was spread out over several years as a network of satellite tracking stations.

In 2008, ImageVision shipped ten AgileVIEW Control Room Consoles to EADS Astrium in Australia. In 2009, we shipped four AgileVIEW consoles to France for an E3K Upgrade-2009 project and in 2010 we shipped another four AgileVIEW consoles to Astrium SAS in France for their E3K Upgrade-2010 project.
